As a gamer, I’ve often heard people who don’t play video games talk negatively about gaming and/or the gaming community. I can’t hold a grudge against those against it, maybe because I feel as though they don’t understand it.
Sure, at the end of the day, as gamers we play games for entertainment purposes...but that doesn’t mean we don’t make real connections and bond with those within our gaming communities. Some of my best friends have been made online playing video games with individuals from similar walks of life. Of course, we don’t spend all of our time gaming...but it’s something we can do to enjoy ourselves and share a common interest. Are gaming communities unhealthy? They can be...but they can also be quite the opposite just the same!
